Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
1.Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of PackRelay.cloud and the PackRelay launcher (together, the “Service”), operated by PackRelay (“PackRelay”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, installing the launcher, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. The underlying game, 7 Days to Die, contains content intended for mature audiences. If the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction is higher than 16, that higher age applies. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3.Accounts
3.1 Account types
PackRelay offers two account roles:
- Player accounts let you browse, download, and play modpacks served from participating game servers.
- Server-owner accounts let you publish modpacks, attach them to one or more game servers, and manage staff members who help operate your servers.
3.2 Account security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.3 One person, one account
You may not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or to manipulate the Service. Server-owner accounts may delegate operational roles to staff users, but each human must use their own credentials.
4.The Service
4.1 Modpack distribution
PackRelay distributes server-attached modpacks for 7 Days to Die. When you join a participating server through the launcher, the Service determines the manifest required by that server and synchronizes the corresponding files to your local installation.
4.2 Signed manifests
Modpacks distributed via PackRelay are described by cryptographically signed manifests. The launcher verifies signatures before applying any files. A manifest whose signature cannot be verified will not be installed.
4.3 Pack scanning and verification
Packs published to PackRelay are scanned for known unsafe content prior to becoming available to players. Scanning is a best-effort safety layer, not a guarantee. By publishing a pack you consent to automated scanning of its contents.
4.4 No game license
PackRelay does not grant you a license to 7 Days to Die or to any third-party game. You are responsible for owning a valid copy of the game and for complying with its publisher’s terms.
5.User content
5.1 Your content, your responsibility
“Your Content” means any modpack, configuration, asset, description, or other material you publish, upload, or otherwise submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights necessary to publish and distribute it.
5.2 License you grant to PackRelay
You grant PackRelay a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty- free license to host, copy, transmit, index, scan, sign, cache via content-delivery networks, and otherwise process Your Content as necessary to operate and improve the Service. This license terminates when you remove Your Content, except for copies retained for backup, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes for a reasonable period.
5.3 Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Service to publish or distribute:
- Malware, spyware, keyloggers, cryptominers, or any code intended to harm or surveil another user’s system.
- Content that infringes another party’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
- Content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or sexually explicit material involving minors.
- Attempts to bypass manifest signing, scanning, or other safety controls.
- Automated traffic that overloads, scrapes, or otherwise abuses the Service.
6.Third-party content and links
The Service may reference, link to, or surface metadata from third-party sources such as Nexus Mods, GitHub, or community-run mod repositories. Those services have their own terms and licensing rules, and PackRelay is not responsible for content hosted by them. You are responsible for complying with the licenses attached to any third-party material included in a pack you publish.
7.Intellectual property
The PackRelay name, logo, brand marks, launcher, website, and underlying code are owned by PackRelay and protected by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of those assets to you.
8.Copyright reporting
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@packrelay.cloud including (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Service, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement made under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act. We will respond to valid notices in a manner consistent with applicable law.
9.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a safety, legal, or operational risk. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including 5.2, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14 — will survive.
10.Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Where changes materially affect published packs or installed launchers, we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice.
11.Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be error-free or secure. Pack scanning is a best-effort safety layer and not a guarantee that any specific file is safe.
12.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PackRelay and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to PackRelay in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.
13.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PackRelay and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any third-party right.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PackRelay is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless a mandatory consumer- protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
16.Contact
Questions about these Terms can go to contact@packrelay.cloud, and general support requests to our support page.
